Career opportunities in forex trading…. BY ’KUNLE ADEYERI

Career opportunities in forex trading... NAIJA INTEL

As my nationwide one week-intensive training kicks off in Abuja come July 22, I cannot imagine how many in that city will be empowered to liberate themselves from the shackles of unemployment, lack of extra income to sustain in such an expensive city and also from fear of post-retirement, retrenchment and redundancy.

High net-worth individual and corporate investors can give this a trial to shore up returns even in a shorter time than what is obtainable in traditional investment places. Abuja brings into mind VIP accounts and clients and same for next city of call, Port Harcourt, the oil-rich city.

In my University days, there were only twenty seven universities in Nigeria: federal and state owned. None was private. Today I cannot accurately give an exact figure as they spring up nearly on weekly basis from all nooks and crannies of the nation. I can imagine the multitude of graduates passed out by the universities and other tertiary institutions such as the polytechnics, monotechnics and the rest.

These graduates go into employment market competing for jobs that are few or non-existent. The need to look inwards to self-empowerment and sustaining programmes. Forex trading which is my specialization offers vast opportunities to earn in hard currency which most are ignorant about. Hence my little exposition on career opportunities below.

Trader/investment manager

With good technical ability, trading on behalf of investors becomes a lucrative means of living. It could be trading on account in which profits are shared in a ratio between investor and trader as agreed. It could also be a situation where the trader or investment manager gives a fixed or varied return on fund invested.

Market forecaster & analyst

With good technical ability to study predict market or price behaviour becomes a hobby which can be turned into earning potentials by selling signals  through subscription service. It could be a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half year or annual subscription
